Our Story

The name BVKAUSE originated from its founder, Bohvick. Most of his friends call him "Bik," which inspired the initials "BVK."

Originally, the brand was not meant to be called BVKAUSE. Bohvick's first idea was "BHK.EST," which was later shortened to "BHK" because he preferred not to use a period in the name. However, he later discovered that the name was already being used and the domain was unavailable, forcing him to explore other options.

That led him to the name "BVK." Although it was simple, it still felt incomplete. While searching for ideas and gathering feedback from friends, he realized that his Instagram username, "bvk.est," sounded similar to the word "because" when read aloud. That realization became the foundation of the name BVKAUSE.

BVKAUSE would not have become what it is today without the people who helped shape it from the beginning. Dale Canoza, Andrew James Mabbun, John Absydie Martin, Jhonmichael Belgrado, John Patrick Pili and Jayquerson Catorce all contributed in their own ways and became part of the foundation behind the brand.

The idea of creating an apparel brand first came to Bohvick in 2025. Fashion had always been a significant part of his life, and he often found himself searching for clothing that matched his personal taste and style. Eventually, he asked himself a simple question:

"Why not create the clothes I want to wear and turn them into a brand?"

That question became the starting point of what would eventually become BVKAUSE.

OUR VISION

BVKAUSE was never created with the goal of staying local. From the very beginning, the vision has always been much bigger than that.

Our goal is to build a global apparel company that goes beyond clothing. What starts with a t-shirt today will eventually grow into a complete lifestyle brand, from headwear and footwear to accessories and fragrances.

We are inspired by brands such as Stüssy, Carhartt, and Chrome Hearts—not as competitors, but as benchmarks. They represent the level of quality, influence, and culture we strive to reach and build upon.

We aim to create products that people can connect with, grow with, and make their own, while building a brand that proudly represents Filipino creativity on a global stage.

The mission behind BVKAUSE is simple: to give Filipinos access to premium-quality apparel at a price they can afford.

While many brands focus solely on selling products, Bohvick wanted to build something that prioritized both quality and design. Countless hours were spent researching materials, manufacturing processes, and the standards used by established international brands. Every decision was made with quality in mind from the very beginning.

Beyond creating apparel, BVKAUSE aims to build a community, create opportunities, and make a positive impact. As the brand grows, the goal is to dedicate 10% of the company's net income to helping remote and underserved communities.
